Immediate Aftermath

April 14th, 1978 10:15 PM

A woman had been fishing with her husband and nephew at the “Minnow Hole,” a fishing spot on the Sacramento River. They were done for the day, and the woman was on her way back to the car. She was startled by a man running by her on the levee. “Did you catch any fish?” he asked. “No, I didn’t get any,” she replied. “Oh, my wife is going to be mad,” he said, and he continued running in the direction of the apartments on Riverside Blvd. She described him to police as a white male, mid-twenties, 5’8”, medium build, with collar-length brown hair and a mustache. He was wearing a light-colored shirt (possibly a t-shirt). He wasn’t dressed for jogging, and he was very out of breath.
